Billing
WCB: We are currently not accepting workplace injuries at this time.
We do not have access to funding through Alberta Health Care.
Extended Health Benefits
Most extended health plans will cover physical therapy; however, the extent of coverage varies from plan to plan. Some plans will cover a dollar amount, others a percentage per treatment. By simply calling your insurance company you can determine the amount of coverage you may have and if your company will allow direct billing of your treatments. Our experience is that we are able to direct bill most insurance companies. If your extended health plan does not accept direct billing, we will be happy to provide you with a receipt to pay and submit for reimbursement, or you can save the receipt for tax purposes.
Private Payment
Private payment is available for all services if you do not have extended health coverage, have reached your plan limits, or prefer not to bill through insurance. Payment is due at the end of each appointment, and we will provide a receipt for your records or for self-submission to your insurer where applicable.
Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)
Directly following your MVA:
If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident it is important to contact your insurance company immediately. We will provide an assessment to determine your diagnosis, which will determine the amount of treatment you will be approved for. MVA patients can qualify for up to 21 sessions occurring over a 90-day period from the date of accident. During this time, we are able to direct bill your car insurance company.
Section B Treatment Coverage:
Depending on your diagnosis or if you have fallen outside of the initial 90-day window, treatment is available upon approval from your insurance company. Direct billing may be available to you at this time; however, approval is required by your insurance company.
